Equilibria CBD for Women | full review

I’ve been taking Equilibria CBD daily for the last six months, and often get questions about my routine, whether or not it works, what I like about it, and if Equilibria is worth the money. So, I figured I’d write up a full review of Equilibria CBD for Women (and will update as needed both with more information and current promotions, so please feel free to reach out with any additional questions!).

A quick disclaimer: I received my first month’s subscription for free, and this post contains commissionable links (I earn a small commission, but this does not affect your purchase price… but I can offer you a sweet discount code!).

Ok. Let’s get into it.

Equilibria CBD for Women | Full Review

What is Equilibria? What makes Equilibria different from other CBD companies?

Equilibria is a CBD company founded by women, with products designed specifically for women. (Yes, they can be used by men and non-binary folks, too!) They offer a range of CBD products, including daily drops and soft gels, as well as topical products. Products can be purchased stand alone, or as part of a monthly subscription.

One of the major differences between Equilibria and other CBD companies is their commitment to education and ensuring everyone finds their perfect dosage and routine.

What comes in an Equilibria subscription? Is there an advantage to subscribing?

There are a range of monthly subscriptions available. For my monthly order, I get the Balance Box (mint flavor). This includes enough soft gels and Daily Drops for my daily routine, for a month. I’ve dabbled with other brands and products in the past, but committing to a routine (and sticking with it for over six months) has made a tremendous difference for me. Each person’s daily routine will vary (and may change over time– this has been true for me). Their specialists are available for personalized dosage calls (free with purchase), email support, and group dosage calls. Subscribers also have access to a members-only Facebook group. I routinely benefit from questions asked by other members, and info provided by the team there. Equilibria also has a pharmacist on staff for questions about possible drug or vaccine interactions, etc.

Here are some the frequently asked questions they receive during dosage calls.

For my dosage call/consultation with Haley, I talked a bit about my goals for taking CBD, past experience with different products, and what my daily routine looks like in general. Haley helped me fine tune which products I take when, and in which amounts. For example, she recommended taking a “micro dose” of 1/2 a dropper of the Daily Drops shortly before diving into the kids’ dinner/bath time/bedtime routine. This was tremendously helpful, and I noticed a difference in just a week or two. I finished the call with pages of notes I had scribbled during our chat– but Haley also reached out in the next day or so with a detailed email covering what we’d discussed. She has also checked in periodically since then to help me continue to maximize my routine.

What does CBD do? Do you get high from CBD? Does CBD make you sleepy?

If only… jk but also kind of not jk. “Does CBD make you high” is the probably the question I am most asked when I mention Equilibria on Instagram. The short answer is no (see here for the long answer, and more information on CBD in general).

The biggest differences I have noticed in six months of routinely taking CBD are:

  • Better sleep (in terms of both falling asleep, and staying asleep)— I’ve always been a terrible sleeper, and the stress and anxiety of the past year hasn’t helped. I’ve noticed since starting and sticking to a CBD routine, I fall asleep faster and wake up less frequently (it doesn’t not, however, make me drowsy during the day– in fact, I think it may actually help me feel focused– I often take a small dose to combat an afternoon slump). And then we got a puppy and suddenly I’m awake around the clock…. but I can’t blame that on the CBD.
  • A feeling of “taking the edge off” — this is the most noticeable difference for me. At the beginning of the pandemic (after being sick with pneumonia for a month, losing Clark, and suddenly being thrust into homeschooling and fear and uncertainty about covid), I reached out to my doctor to talk about managing feelings and symptoms of anxiety. As part of that plan, she gave me a prescription to help manage acute symptoms — rare for me, but scary nonetheless. This is not what I would use CBD to manage (i.e. talk to your doctor, obviously, but I wouldn’t consider this a replacement for medication). But the day to day anxiousness? Absolutely. I find that I am much better equipped to handle the very present ups and downs of our current situation when I am routinely taking my Equilibria. I am less snippy, less irritable, and less likely to go down the unproductive road of “what if this or this or this or this happens.” There was a week when I had run out of my Daily Drops and soft gels (over the holidays when shipping was all backed up)– and this is when I felt the difference. Once I was fully stocked up (I ordered additional bottles during a recent sale to ensure I didn’t run out again), I quickly felt back in the groove.

Let’s talk products.

Equilibria CBD Daily Drops and Soft Gels

These are the core products, and what I take as my daily routine (a soft gel with breakfast, micro doses of Daily Drops as needed during the day, and a soft gel 30 minutes before bedtime). You can find these in two strengths (I take regular strength for both), and the drops are available in unflavored or mint. I prefer the mint (the unflavored is slightly…. weedy, for a lack of better description, but not unpleasant). Equilibria also offers limited edition flavors from time to time (currently it’s the Indulgence Collection, inspired by French patisserie — the peace gelee is my favorite). I’m hoping some of these flavors become available year-round (the cranberry elderflower, especially).

**You save on the retail price by subscribing to a particular box (with an additional savings using my referral code, elizabethev), which you can change or update month to month.

Equilibria Topical CBD Products

If you’re not ready to ingest CBD, but are still curious, topical CBD might be a good place to start (there’s a topical-only subscription box). Equilibria’s topical products include a cream (my favorite), two rollers, a treatment oil for face and body, bath bombs, and a bath soak. I have not tried the bath products yet, but swear by the relief cream. The roller pair is sort of hit or miss for me– they smell lovely, but I haven’t noticed much beyond that. I feel similarly about the treatment oil, but that may be because I am already pretty dedicated to my skincare faves. Back to the relief cream though, which is easily a desert island product for me — and something I would wholeheartedly recommend as a stand alone purchase.

How I use Equilibria Relief Cream:

  • A few dabs on my temples and across my forehead when I have a headache
  • Massaged into sore muscles (especially back and shoulders)
  • Along my jaw line if I am feeling tense or holding tension in my jaw (this has been super helpful going to the dentist, which tends to stress me out)
  • On my abdomen to help soothe period cramps

The bottom line? Adding a tailored CBD routine with my day, along with the personalized support from the Equilibria team, has been one of the best things I’ve done for my overall wellbeing — and it’s something I’d absolutely recommend my friends and family try. Please feel free to reach out here (or DM me on Instagram, where I am freely wasting away hours upon hours… I mean working) with any questions or things I may have missed.
