Back to school + healthy habits with NutraVege
This post is sponsored by Nature’s Way.
Though I’ve been out of school for (gasp) 14 years, this time of year always gets me in a mood to start fresh– maybe even more so than January 1st. After a blissful summer at the beach, we are easing back into our life in the city and all that comes with it. With both kids in school (preschool + pre-k), I’m back to meal prepping, packing backpacks, and balancing our schedules as best I can.
I’ve started packing my own lunch alongside Grace and Nicky’s, even for days when I’m working at home or running errands. Simple steps like this have been so helpful in starting our school year in a healthy, streamlined way. Isn’t that always the goal– to simplify healthy living?
I recently added Nature’s Way NutraVege, a liquid Omega-3 supplement (yes, it’s vegan and vegetarian-friendly!), to my morning routine in an effort to help support my overall health and supplement my vegetarian diet. NutraVege is a premium source of Omega-3s (which helps support eye health, cardiovascular health + brain health*) and is derived from sustainably sourced algae. It fits perfectly into my morning routine.
Unlike other vegan supplements I’ve tried in the past, NutraVege has a clean, light taste — I love both the zesty lemon flavor and the strawberry orange flavor. I tend to take the teaspoon dose just as is each morning, but it can also be added to your favorite juice or morning glass of water. Starting my morning with NutraVege feels like a great investment in my overall health and wellbeing, and prompts me to continue to make healthy choices over the course of the day.
What else am I restarting or refreshing during this back to school season? I’ve got a fresh playlist (and my usual podcasts) for workouts and runs– and a fresh pair of kicks is also in order. I was able to get a lot of running in on the bike path with the kids this summer, but I’ve got to say, I’m looking forward to solo running (minus the double running stroller lol) this fall. It’s also been great to be back at Mama Beasts for outdoor workouts with that uplifting, encouraging community.
I’m also looking forward to digging into a few new cookbooks (I’m always on the hunt for great vegetarian and family-friendly recipes!) and sharing my weekly meal plans with you all.

I’d love to hear what healthy (and simple!) habits you’re fostering this fall.
