Today: Major League hair.

[tweetmeme source=”elizabethev” only_single=false] The NFL is home to some pretty special hairdos, but MLB could give those guys a run for their (lots and lots of) money.  Let’s see what sort of hair is hiding under those helmets.

Coco’s ‘do is so crisp.

I give this fro an A... get it? He plays for the A's... ok. Cool.

Manny Ramirez took risks with his hair, and seemingly with… um… needles (loser).

Put a lid on it.

Randy Johnson reminds me of a truck stop.

Because the only thing better than a sweet mullet is a sweet mullet AND a creeper mustache.

Jesus? Is that you?  Oh. Hi, Jason Werth.

Too bad he wasn't much of a savior for the Phillies.

Brian Wilson: Now this is facial hair.

What a Giant beard. Bahaha.

And my favorite: Dennis Eckersley’s silky, feathered locks.

I want his shampoo.

I’m not sure what it is about professional athletes, but there is no shortage of material when it comes to the good, the bad and the awesome hair.  Maybe they feel stifled by their uniforms and need a form of expression?  Or maybe they’ve all got El Montro on speed dial.

Also On Tap for Today:

  • Heading to the Cape for the weekend 🙂
  • This would be a good day to eat outside
  • Welcome to Boston, runners!

Who is your Major League hair idol?

I loved Johnny Damon’s hair when he was still a Red Sox before the NY Yankees made him chop it off. So thick and dark like I wish my hair was on some days.

I want Dennis Eckersley’s hair! It is SO much prettier than mine.
