Today: Don’t be tardy for the Democratic party
Among the fifty gagillion reasons I’m happy we moved, is the fact that I can now vote in city elections. Nick voted in Boston elections whilst living in Brighton, but on the side of Beacon St., I was not so lucky. Sure, we had better sushi, Trader Joe’s and BodyScapes Fitness, the C line and cupcakes from Party Favors… but working in Boston, I never felt engaged in Brookline politics. Or really anything in Brookline… besides sushi, BodyScapes, Trader Joe’s, the C line and cupcakes from Party Favors.
Now that we’re real, live, property-owning adults, everything matters just a bit more. As dorky as this may be, I am very excited to walk up Broadway to my designated voting location and cast my first ballot as a registered voter in the city. I am tempted to get there as soon as the polls open, and sneak the Frenchie in with me.
If you’re a city dweller, don’t be tardy for the (Democratic or Republican) party! You can find voting information for tomorrow’s election by clicking here. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., which if you forgot to fall back, will feel like 8 a.m. to 9 p.m…. but it’s not. So forget I even typed that.
Also On Tap for Today:
- Meet Bad Elizabeth and Pat for dinner at our favorite old haunt
- Continue to pack up the office for next week’s move to greener pastures (i.e. more sq. footage)
- Eat discounted Halloweenie candy
- Swing by Trader Joe’s to pick up some treats for my American/Canadian exchange with Jaime
- Stalk Jordan’s Furniture to find out when our delivery will arrive
How are you adjusting to daylight’s savings time? Been early to any meetings?
