Today: Eat at Haley House Cafe’

I drive by Haley House Bakery & Cafe often and always think, I really should stop in. Well today, people, I discovered what I’ve been missing out on. The food was incredible; the menu features a great selection of organic and locally sourced from HH’s Noonday Farm and The Food Project. The non-profit restaurant is part of a larger mission, with programs ranging from job training to nutrition education.

I enjoyed a Caesar salad and a cup of the tomato basil soup. I barely got half-way through the giant salad, having quickly devoured the soup. Both were delicious. The building itself is beautifully decorated with a revolving collection of photography, paintings, and, on one wall, quotes from President Obama’s Inauguration speech. Altogether, an inspiring meal.
