Today: April goals (and a printable calendar).

I didn’t feel like painting April showers, so I skipped right to the May flowers.  Hope you don’t mind.

April goals

  • Set plans for Nick’s baptism
  • Pick a new Audubon sanctuary to visit this month
  • Make a “warmer weather” bucket list (because I never did this in March… semi-related, it’s going to snow next week…)
  • Day trip to the Cape

  • Continue to workout at least twice in the real world and twice at home (per week) and increase weekly mileage
  • Increase low plank hold to 45 seconds, high plank to 2 minutes (gettin’ there!)
  • Continue to keep food diary (this is something I got back into a few weeks ago — it’s been really helpful… and eye-opening)

  • Donate newborn and baby clothes (seeing as both my children are toddler-sized, including the four-month-old)
  • Consign or sell our single running stroller
  • Get the deck ready for spring/summer
  • Continue to meal plan on Sundays (it’s really helping to cut down food waste)

Bring on the April showers.  So we can cut to the May flowers.

What’s On Tap for your April?

Today: April showers are annoying.

[tweetmeme source=”elizabethev” only_single=false] But you know what they say, April flowers bring May flowers.  (And Mayflowers bring infectious diseases.  Sorry, Native Americans!) For the first rainy day in approximately 988 years, I actually remembered to pack an umbrella-ella-ella-ay-ay-ay.  I forgot my day planner and my lunch, though.  And most other important things, too.

After working through the weekend in preparation for last night’s big gala, my brain and body (technically, I guess, my brain is inside my body…) are completely toast.  Wearing skyscraper heels, running around like crazy, and trying to keep it all together will do that to a girl.  When the alarm went off this morning, I nearly committed a homicide.  Instead I got up and started the day.  Lame, I know.

I thought the outfit I put together at 6:30 this morning was totally awesome, but it turns out it’s totally not.  I look like a kite.  Take your time and picture that.  Or just imagine the ugliest getup ever.  Fortunately, tomorrow’s a new day (with rain in the forecast) and by then, I will have hopefully slept for more than 17 minutes.

Plus, there’s just so much to look forward to this month.

Hopefully I’ll put a little more thought into my outfits for each of those lovely adventures.  Yowza.

Also On Tap for Today:

  • I just may drink an entire glass of wine tonight
  • OMG: Real, live teddy bears
  • Soccer game (hmm… maybe no wine, after all)

What are you most looking forward to this month?  A picture of me dressed like a small parachute?
